Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens was awarded a Zone Historic Preservation Commendation from The Garden Club of America at its June 22-23 regional meeting in Cleveland.  The award recognizes a nonmember organization for significant contribution to historic preservation within the GCA’s Zone X, which includes Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.  The GCA cited Stan Hywet for “outstanding and endless dedication to the preservation and restoration of the F. A. Seiberling family estate and legacy,” according to the commendation certificate, which was presented to Stan Hywet President and Executive Director Linda Conrad by Cynthia Rubin, chairman of the GCA’s national Garden History & Design Committee.
